After signing up to ezyexchange ...

The following information will be included in the configuration email that is sent to you when you have successfuly completed signing up for an ezyexchange service.

EDIT YOUR MX RECORDS IN DNS
---------------------------------------------------------------

Update your domain's DNS Zone MX records to:

yourdomain.com.au.
3600 IN MX 5 mx1.ezyexchange.net.au.
yourdomain.com.au. 3600 IN MX 10 mx2.ezyexchange.net.au.

5 and 10 are the "priority weights" indicating the primary and secondary receiving mailservers.

Be sure to include the trailing dots (.), otherwise the records will be malformed and will fail.

ADD AN AUTODISCOVER RECORD IN DNS
---------------------------------------------------------------

For Autodiscover to work correctly, you will need to add a CNAME record that looks this:

autodiscover 3600 IN CNAME autodiscoverredirect.ezyexchange.net.au.

Be sure to include the trailing dot (.), otherwise the record will be malformed and will fail.

ADD AN "OWN DOMAIN" OWA RECORD IN DNS
---------------------------------------------------------------

You can add a CNAME record you to use your own domain to point to OWA, the Outlook Web App:

webmail 3600 IN CNAME owaredirect.ezyexchange.net.au.

Be sure to include the trailing dot (.), otherwise the record will be malformed and will fail.

ADD AN SPF RECORD IN DNS
---------------------------------------------------------------

The Sender Policy Framework (SPF) is a technical method used by mailservers to prevent sender address forgery. Many mailservers have strict rules about the mail they will receive, but an SPF record using ezyexchange's details will help to ensure that your mail is delivered to its recipient every time:

yourdomain.com.au. 3600 IN TXT "v=spf1 a ip4:202.90.41.0/24 ~all"

Be sure to include the trailing dot (.) after your domain name, otherwise the record will be malformed and will fail.

CONFIGURE YOUR HOSTED ORGANISATION
---------------------------------------------------------------

Visit the ezyexchange Mailbox Control Panel, log in, and first click on HOSTED ORGANIZATIONS.

Now you will need to create your Hosted Organization.

Enter the name of your company in the "Organization Name" field. This could also be your own personal name if you're not signing up as a company.

You also need to choose an "Organization ID". This is a kind of nickname for your company. It must be no more than 9 characters in length.

So, if your Hosted Organization or company name is Handy Widgets Pty Ltd, you might choose something like "handy" or "widgets".

This Organization ID will be your unique identifier in the Active Directory, but it will also be used to create an initial domain alias which is simply used to aid us in setting permissions on the Exchange system.

ADD YOUR DOMAIN NAME/S
---------------------------------------------------------------

Once created, click on your Organization Name and click on Domain Names from the left hand menu. Enter your domain name and Save Changes.

After you've added your own domain name, select the "radio button" next to it, and then click Set Default Domain.

CREATING MAILBOXES

IMPORTANT: This new primary e-mail address, along with this mailbox password, will now be your login information when using the Outlook Web App

OPTIONAL STEPS
---------------------------------------------------------------

If you need to receive mail from alternative domains to your ezyexchange mailbox's primary domain, you can add these additional "accepted domains" by clicking on the Domain Names menu link. Remember, it here that you can also choose which of those domains will be your Organization's default domain.

There is no limit to the amount of domains you can accept mail from, however, you cannot add domains like google.com, hotmail.com etc.

The domains you add, need to be your domain names. In other words, they need to be domains that you own. If it's discovered that you've added domains you do not own, they will be removed from our system without notice and without apology.

You can also add an unlimited range of email aliases by clicking on the E-mail Addresses / Aliases tab.

If you're familiar with an Exchange Server environment, you'll see that you have access to absolutely everything you'll need to make a hosted Exchange environment work for you, but without the massive expense of running your own Exchange Servers.

Finally, be sure to visit our Support Pages to find out everything you need to know about setting up your ezyexchange mailbox in Outlook (PC) or Entourage/Outlook 2011 (MAC). You'll also find everything you need to know about setting up your iPhone or Windows Mobile phone to receive push mail from ezyexchange.

ORDERING ADDITIONAL MAILBOXES
---------------------------------------------------------------

If you require additional mailboxes, please visit the Client Zone, click on Order a Service, and be sure to choose the "Add-On Mailboxes" category. These additional mailboxes will be provisioned for you within one hour.

As soon as they are available for you to configure in your ezyexchange Mailbox Control Panel, we'll let you know via email, and will charge your chosen payment method. You'll also receive a Tax Invoice via email.
